Some of the first material created have turned into human treasures. None of the original people who created works that we treasure in our civilizations have rights to any of their material. Just think of the manuscripts powerful in our cultures. Industrial techniques changed the world and made these manuscripts available to the world. What developed was a form of control which was licensing of created works. That is where copyright entered the fray. Copyright is a right to record your creation. A tax for recording your creation. It is a lot things. Why would you want to do that. Your work may be original enough to be used at some point now or in the future. The process for registering is very simple. You fill out your application. It will want specific information surrounding the creation or creations. You pay the fee.
